RANGE ANXIETY? - NOT IN NEW JERSEY!

NJ Public Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Locator shows the locations of DC Fast Charging outlets at over 600 locations. Roughly 95% of the state is currently located within a 25-mile radius of a DC Fast Charger. This means that it is likely PEV drivers in New Jersey will reach their destination with no problem!

What Are The Different Levels Of EV Charging?

There are three levels of EV charging; Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. The higher the level of charging, the faster the charging process, as more power is delivered to the vehicle.  Different EVs charge at different speeds on each level.

Level 1:  120-Volt
Works well for plug-in Hybrids; too slow for EVs

Level 2:  208-Volt to 240-Volt
Commonly used for daily EV charging. Can be installed at home, workplace or public locations

Level 3:  400-Volt to 900-Volt (DC Fast Charge & Supercharging)
Fastest type of charging available.  Requires high voltage electric supply and therefore not common for residential installation.
